I would either uprate the injectors or downsize the turbo first, have you got a group a fuel pump ?
I would also speak to MSD about a chip, but you will need almost certainly to get it mapped.

your still not answering my question of why is a t4 on greens bad????
i spent over two year driving my last sapph with a t34(.63) on greens and the last few months on greys with a much worked engine so can you explain to me why this t4 route is bad???

Greens int he real world are maxed by about 330bhp no matter what people tell you.
My T4 car at only 18psi on a base map would eat stage 3 T34 and Greens cars alive.
On a T4 you want Grey of Siemens 55lbs atleast imo. T4 on Greys with a standard head should see around 400-420bhp depending on whats RR you go.
Choose a Tuner then ask them what they would advise. Stu@MSD, Ahmed, Or Karl@NMS are the ones i would trust. I would Change to L8 aswell as it allows you more options, and its a slightly better ECU.

nice, for now my spec will be fairly simple as i want to get some use out of her and not go mad on spending but i can see me building a tasty engine later on which will no doubt suit the T4 better.

Tbh my engine spec isnt really suited to a T4, a T38 would have been a better choice. The price i got my T4 for i couldnt turn it down. I am happy with it though. Talking to some people with T38's and GT30's mines on boost around the same as them if not before. I dont know if this is donw to bad specing od parts etc though.
I am not really that bothered about any more power for now. I just want to get the suspension sorted and set up with a few more add ons still to come.

I got the T4 for free off of my mum so thats why i`m using it
for now i only really wanted a solid 330 bhp as to me suspension and brakes are more important, i do have the suspension setup almost ready to go on the car so im half way there
the thing is there is always something else to buy........it never stops lol

The size of the turbo is a bit too large for the fuel you can run from the injectors.
The point is why have lots of lag with a T4 if you don't need to, get the same power on greens with a T34, which despite some bollocks spoken here will run to around 375/380, the last I saw was a T34, machined out T3 comp housing with a .48 housing and it made 377, on an engine dyno, repeatedly all day long forever.
It had in excess of 30 power runs, turbo was maxed out but coping no problem.
Anyone who thinks thier car with a T4 and 18 PSI is going to eat a stage three cossie on 25/27 is most likely on drugs.
The engine is merely an overglorified AIR PUMP, air = OXYGEN = POWER, all else being equal ie capacity, more air = more power simple as.
T4 are unbeleivable laggy, not good at all for a race car, where torque spread is the name of the game, yes they are faster when you get going, but by the time you get going the T34 car is gone away and finished the race.
Greens are capable of in excess of 600 BHP, but not with the ford ecu, it is antiquated, but does the job, bit like solid tyres rather than air filled ones!!
Consider a aftermarket ecu, and go batch fired as it would be even better at higher rpm.

tabetha Having seen both Churchys and Daz's car ran at APT both made around 330bhp and the injectors were maxed. So i am not talking bollocks, a car on an engine dyno will allways show more power than if it was on a rolling road as you have added restrictions.
Churchy and the others have seen what my car did at 18psi so again i am not spouting shit. If you want ask Stu how quick my car was at 18psi he will tell you straight.

Tabetha... T4's arnt good for a race car? oh i see now where the Rs500 went wrong they were crap wernt they didnt win a thing
anyway....
a mate in our group has a T4 powered escort, and nobody can get anywhere near him if it starts to drop boost, all he does is CHANGE DOWN, then he has more air flow than all the rest of our group put together its all about jkeeping the turbo in its boost parameter ,and its not all that hard on track....
to me, the difference is where the turbos make there peak power, the t34.48 makes it quite low ,which doesnt give great bhp readings, even purely swapping the ex housing toa .63 will push the peak power up the revs a bit can increase by 30-40-50bhp.
the T4 wont make its peak power till much much later, which does give good bhp readings, much more than a t34 could hope for anyway... the air flow from a T4 is immense, and a t4 holding 18 to the limiter would see a good power figure, by the limiter the t34 would have done its work and gone to bed and you would see a t4 powered car whistling past and thats just in first gear
nashes car went very very well at donnington a year ago ,on track could keep with almost anything, even a t38 powered car at 30psi iirc nash?
wonder what the tuners view on this is... hang on i'll post up.

Mark is going to be peaking it at 35-36 psi holding 29 so should be around 450-460 he hopes for, i'll let you know after it's ROLLING ROAD session.
