Default Where is the fuel pump relay located?

In a 4x4 Sapphire?

I want to check the wiring to and from this as i think that's what is causing my amal valve not to work properly.

Cheers,
Pete.

Default Fuel pump relay

Hi, the fuel pump relay on a 2wd drive is located up under the dash on the passengers side, almost behind the glove box, it is clipped on using a metal clip, just pushes off. Not sure if it is the same for a 4 x 4 but worth a look!

Hope this is of use!

Yeh a 4x4 is clipped under the dash on the passenger side. Why do u think this is causing a fault with ur amal valve?

I thought the amal valve was controlled by the ECU directly?

Extracting the glove box will make things easier Open the glove box, squeeze the sides together and open it further past the stops, then pull it forwards (towards the seat) to remove it. Reassembly is the reversal of removal

Don't know which one the fuel pump relay is, but if it helps, the green and purple ones are for the ABS

The fuel pump relay is a yellow 1. There is also a yellow 1 for the engine ecu the best way 2 make sure u have the right relay is 2 hold it turn the ignition on n feel it click on n then off. Then when u crank the engine it sud click again.

Just using a process of elimination as the car boosts fine when a bleed valve is fitted but stutters and hesitates when the amal is connected - the amal is new.

As far as i'm aware the ECU controls the earth wire and the fuel pump relay supplies the live feed so thought i'd have a look at these and see if this can cure the problem.

Thanks for the replies.

Pete.
