A little confused?
In the process of getting the bits needed to bring my 4x4 saff to stage 3 but I'm a little confused, in the magazine adverts all that is required is the chip, 803's, 3 bar map and uprated actuator to get approx 330bhp.
In some articles I've seen however a T34 is required also?
Whats futher confusing me is I've seen a few cosworth rolling road "shootout" type articles in the mags, with cars fitted with a T34 and there not even making 300bhp?
I have a new hybrid T3 sitting on the shelf along side a moogoose exhaust, K&N cone filter and RS500 spec intercooler, please tell me I'll get approx 330bhp with a good rolling road set up.

T34 is very good turbo and can flow way enough air for way over 330bhp, with the right bits.
The trouble is with rolling roads, SOME LIE, a hell of a lot!!
TORQUE is what matters in the real world anyway, a torquey engine will win every time, as it will be on boost and gone before mr laggy gets out of bed!!
With a T34, decent exhaust, air filter and the right set up chip it will see 330.
A T3 on the other hand is really going to struggle over anything after around 310/315, it was never designed for this power level.
If your HYBRID is a different compressor wheel, or machined out to T34 which is large turbo escy size, then tell whoever supplies the chip as they can give you a more potent programme, and it will see 330 no problem.
You could always go for live mapping afterwards so they can up things a bit.
A good rolling road day I was at saw a SKYLINE MAKE 129BHP!!, OWING TO THE FACT THAT THE ENGINE HAD A KNACKERED COMPONENT, and the owner was unwilling to spend the money it needed, "I don't rev it over 3000rpm, as it misfires so I just put up with it", was his answer!!
The bits cost under £200 to put it right.
When you buy a stage three kit or bits they mapper is assuming it is a std car with std turbo.
As your turbo is modded it will handle more power if done correctly and I am sure it has been, you have nothing to worry about.
My own car made very good power when I first got it stage 1 288bhp@6500, but low down was lousy, though OK on the chart!!, or road told a different story.
It used to break traction in the first 4 gears , mainly due to the oe tyres being on it!!
One fuel filter change later, my god what a difference, well it was 12 years old, though had receipts for at least three major services at three different specialists.
Also included was a old rolling road printout with 148bhp on it, that must have been a fast car.
It has a GGR chip, but when upgraded soon will be using a MSD as it is at least as good and half the price.
