After 15 reliable months its started!!!
I've owned my 4x4 for 15months now, and to be fair its been very reliable with just one problem regarding the alarm. But last monday after a day in the snow on the weekend my passenger side CV gave up the ghost. I did know that I had a split in the boot so thats really down to me for not changing it straight away.
So After £75 for a new shaft with CV fitted, the car was put onto a flatbed to be taken to my local garage to have the shaft swapped.
When I picked the car up, the mechanic told me that whilst coming off the lorry, the exhaust was ripped off (just the hangers snapped luckily)
then I get the car back home, notice what looked like a slow puncture, put air in, and the tyre is not interested. yep theres a bick hole in the tyre!!
So I get that replaced and bring the car home. Looked at the car this morning, yes another puncture on another tyre!!!!!
So has the cossie curse began???

That's not too bad to be honest, I've had my cossie for a month, so far it's cost 833 in bills. Front wheel bearings, 2 ball joints, discs and pads and gearbox leak!!
It's remarkable that yours has been reliable for 15 months like Turboshed says!

you have been lucky then.
mine started going wrong after picking it up on the way home the tyre went flat and it was pissing down. good job my mate was there to take the piss and tell me how the ford jack worked we were soaked.
just about to get on the motorway and it cut out coming on to the slip road, with the police behind me. they told me if it still here in an hour they would move it. after a while it started. nightmare
still that was five years ago ,should of seen it as a sign,i did read some where that what you pay for it you should keep the same back for running it.
