MK1 Focus 2.0l Turbo Build, Gathering Parts!
Hello and welcome
Just going to start a new thread for my engine build, I'm hoping for 300hp but at the minute I am gathering parts and have included pics and a list of plans below.
My plans are,
-Garrett T25/T28 hybrid turbo. Built by turbo technics.
-tubular manifold
-custom inlet manifold
-super tech low comp pistons
-eagle rods-
-uprated clutch
-RS Management
-sabre stage 3 remap
-uprated injectors
-ported head
-cat cam valve springs
-rs valves
-RS exhaust cam
-1.8 inlet cam.
-large front mounted inter cooler
-oil cooler
-rs decat pipe
-adjustable pulleys
-uprated engine mounts.
So far I've got the turbo, manifold, rs management and loom, rs cams, rs valves.
And planned to pay for the pistons, rods, bored block, all pipes and boost pipes.
As for management I know that an after market system would have been cheaper than the 800+ it's going to cost me with the ecu! loom and remap of the rs system but I liked the idea of it seeming as standard as possible without having loads of different wires! boxes etc...
I'm in no way an expert on these kinds of things and this is my first build so if anyone has any advice on things I could do differently please let me know. Thanks.
Enjoy,

Quick update and lots of pictures, decided to swap out some parts with cheaper alternatives that I can easily upgrade in the future as I have the engine to do as well as a full respray etc.. This is what I have so far
Got a few more bits, decides to fit a surge tank with a bosch 044 fuel pump, did get a green top fuel pump which puma speed rate at 300lph, alot of other people seem to think its 255lph so i was unsure about just going with the single pump, also got a better radiator.
and a few of the custom inlet manifold, out side base has been tig welded and the welds faced. Happy with it up to now

Got everything for my surge tank setup
Fuel filter,
Ok so I really wanted to go all out straight off the bat but turns out the cars body work is going to cost me a little more than I had hoped, so to save a bit of cash and keep the turbo zetec build I've decided to save some cash were I can and will upgrade some bits at a later date, so got a universal front mount intercoolers, pipe kit, focus rs injectors, standard rs management, relined focus rs ap racing clutch. Apart from that the all other plans are on track, will still go like hell but probobly not going to see the 300bhp+ I was hoping for until I upgrade the injectors! remap clutch etc..
Also going to rebuild my head my self, got the focus rs valves all cleaned up after. Light sand blast and polish there ready for seating once I've got the head skimmed and inlet and outlets polished.
Enjoy.
After polishing, pictures don't do them justice.
Braided fuel hose came , i recon 12m of it should be enough
Had a few more parts turn up and welded the AN fittings onto the injector rail. Will be removing the stock fuel pressure regulator also. Enjoy
