Default Engine conversion choices

Hi All,

As you know I recently bought a restored S2 RS Turbo with a nice engine spec but fancying an upgrade.

Now I have the garage at the house kitted up with a compressor etc etc it will keep me busy over winter.

What options is there?

I mind years back reading about zetec conversions etc

Build either a macdaddy spec cvh or full 16v zetec. Don't both going down the zvh route.

Current spec

Airtec FMIC
Vernier pulley
Cam
Apparently forged/ported/polished etc
Massive Garret turbo with a anodised red actuator
Full custom exhaust
Chipped
K+N
Twin slimline fans
Alloy slim rad

I may of missed something.

It runs not bad but want to mix it up a bit lol

Since the Escort Cossy is gone I miss fettling with something.

I notice theres a RS Turbo bare engine for sale local for Ł150 so could do something with that.

As for the zetec route what engine would that be?

I know I could search but its easier speaking to people in a thread.

Cheers lads.

If your current engine is healthy I would think about efi conversion next. Modern standalone management with a nice new loom and lots of features.

I have done a zetec turbo conversion, running on megasquirt efi. I converted my cvh to cossie management first, that was a bad experience. I then got shut of the cossie stuff and converted to megasquirt on the cvh, then got shut of the cvh.

EFI will give you more reliability and accurate fueling, better economy if its mapped well. You can also have features like launch control, anti lag, boost control etc etc.
