Twice in a row now?
Hey all.
After owning my rs for the first two years i started noticing some kind of cracking, lines forming under the paint. So the following year i got her sent off to get sorted. Sadly the reaction came back again and at a faster rate and paint finish was not great. So this year i sent it off to CL Panelcraft in Braintree to make sure this situation is finally sorted... guess what it's back again. Had a word with the company as there was area's of the car i was not happy with. Apparently i got a deal price costing me over 2200 for the paint job and then tells me in a recent email this was only a blow over, wtf?
What makes issue's worse is the original price would of been around 4k. 6k for concourse if my memory serves me right. Considering none of the engine bay was sprayed or inside apart from the inside door area's. They didn't fit any of the parts i supplied them apart from the new bumper stripes. Put old ford badges back on even though there was a new one in the box for only the front to be put on. Anyway...
The paint is doing this cracking and lines under the paint again, not forget to mention orange peel now showing up in places. They saying unless it's the top coat causing the issue, then its basically not their problem. Now i know for a fact you normally get a primer, base coat and top coat, They must think i was born yesterday and trying their hardest to keep me away... I'm no novice to paint but not an expert unless your talking about powder coating,as i do that as a job for over 8 years...so want some people's views on this whole situation.
At this rate i'll fight to get my money back and strip the whole car myself. Sick of people unable to do their jobs to at least a decent standard... :!:

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I had a issue with a paint shop years ago
I got a solicitor involved and once they were on the verge of a court case
They give me most of my cash back
But all I wanted was the paint done right

Yeah Lacey i was able to get refund and money on top due to damage from the first painters. I never thought i'd be fighting my corner again and these were recommended by close family who use to work for them, so i'm trying these connections first before jumping in. But i am seriously on the verge of doing the prep work myself and then get it sent off and probably have the whole car sprayed while I'm at it,inside and out..
I've tried taking pictures but even using a 16m camera it seem hard to pick up. Will see what pictures i have

I'm Finding My Feet Here Now
I kept having paint reactions on my boot lid, only way it was sorted in the end was to bare metal it, but think you may be able to get a sealer sprayed on now before primer to stop it coming back through.
Surely tho if the last place you used knew that was why you was having it redone would of done it properly, and although its sort of not there fault they should still have to sort it out. If nothing can be arranged then small claims court maybe
