Urgent S2 advice needed please!
Hi.
Can anyone advise me please?
Last week I took off my inlet manifold to paint it and today I went to replace it and found that my header tank was empty.
I thought I'd squeeze the main water pipes to see if I could find a leak, but all I found was water in the injector plate inlets and all around the injectors.
If that wasn't bad enough, I also have a problem with a front shock absorber. Last week I replaced the turret tops with chrome ones and today I found oil around one of the new tops. Does this mean I have damaged the shock absorber?
I would be really be grateful if anyone can advice me how to get out of this mess!
Many thanks.

From memory are the inlet plenums not water cooled. Also I had a similar issue a shock leaking oil through the top adjustable part with some Koni shocks, I have a brand new single Koni shock if you want one.

If you take the inlet off without dropping the water first you will end up with water in the ports.
As said the inlet has water going through it to register temp on the sensor at the back.
So chances are you have filled a port with water. If the valve is open it will be in the bore and running down the side of the piston into the sump.
remove spark plugs and fuel pump relay. Turn engine over untill you have spat out as much water as possible.
