Default Anyone had problems with seat crossmember when fitting box section seat rails?

I'm fitting my box section rails but just can't get a comfortable seating position because of the crossmember. The seats are either too far back if it's behind (me being 5'8 tall) or too tall if it sits above (head being very close to the roll cage)
Seats are medium Sparco Corsa with Spacro side mounts. The only option I can see is to cut and shorten the crossmember...

Anyone else had this problem?
