No offence pal but really. 60mm you might as well use logs of wood as suspension legs.

It will drive awful and bounce down the road like a vw beetle.

Trust me I done it to my van many years ago with the rear turned upside down.

Looked great but drove she iii it.

With the British roads i had to get mine put on 40mm springs. I had mine around 60mm, handling was fine but then you constantly driving drunk to miss holes and lumps, rises in the middle of the road where it dips on the tyre tracks. Other than that it looks the nuts and good for track use? Beware of tyre wear if you using standard arms etc.

This is my car with a 50mm drop with PI springs, handled alright, looked good but was a bumpy ride so had it changed to a 35mm springs by Spax which was a lot better ride.

Hope your spax springs lasted longer or are still ok compared to the two sets i went through within a year of each other. I must of had two bad batches . Both snapped on the front. So ever since i've been with pi springs now with no trouble.. thought i'd share this just in case anyone else had problems with snapped spax springs.

Mental hey.. i'm not alone..

Still wondering if to change to a better brand than pi but pi seems pretty good so far. I'm still using the spax dampers but i've had to touch them up to stop rusting!

I think rust is the issue. No idea what they paint them with but the springs that snapped after just a few months were brown/orange top to bottom. Not even a whisper of red paint left on them.

However, they did replace them without any hassle. and the replacements seem to be holding up alright.

For some reason they didn't want to replace mine straight away and it was quicker to order another set, which was a silly move at the time.. The springs are powder coated. Trouble is i know exactly what they done wrong as i do it as a job. Seems they skipped the pre-treatment of the metal or the chemical levels for the metal, where its way to high before painting. This leaving no protection what so ever and when the springs move over time the paint comes off brittle, flaking etc. Then get the issue of salt and god knows what eating into the springs when driving.

Coilover's yes i have been looking at gaz? gaz gold i also came across but think this overkill and the car is road use. Never been on track even tho i'd like to get it on there one day for bit of fun.

AVO are good quality for the money, again depends what use the vehicle has. I fitted coilys for the first time on my daily drive S2 rst. If im out prowling I can drop them a tad and really enjoy the cornering or commuting to work and back I can raise them up a touch and soften my early mornings
