cheers man - I meant to get back to ya about that pm.

Il have to have a look at that. Im getting raped with the Euro to STG at the minute.

not much happening, started to clean up the oil return pipe feeding into the turbo and the manilfold. Few more coats needs on the manifold.
Also cleaned up my distributor and replaced the cap and rotor arm with genuine Bosch.

I am looking for a rubber hose that runs off the turbo is anyone has one about that is not damaged,

AVA fitted rear discs on mine without a bias valve, never locked up

Then you didnt brake hard enough! lol
Or you had massive brakes up front to balance it out.... Either way a waste of time and potentially dangerous modification.

Shell coming out of her home for the past 6 months and was moved to a nice home today. Shell was stone chip primered and then Shultz also. She will get a cutting/buffing again once she is up and running.
Big thanks to anyone that has helped so far. Totally chuffed

Milesy - I missed out on a new ford one on ebay. Still on the hunt. Ford over here wanted 70euro for one. I have been on to Roose as a last resort.

simonmcf i was trying to say that in my opinion the escort shell newly painted in black looks a whole lot better than that old red rs dog at the top of the thread.

Certainly does look good. Just dont get badging it up as an Escort RS turbo. Escort Bonus turbo would be better and look different.

Been a while since much has happened with stuff on and summer holidays but the project is back on now.
Picked up a nice book to add to the collection. This book is mega mega rare to find, its out of print and go on ebayfor about Ł100.

More bushes to add to the collection

Couple of lidl specials just have in the tool box

Dismantled, cleaned and painted up the metering head, this is the MFI unit.

Metering unit all rebuilt back up

Done the altenator too - will prob change the bolts on it too

That was a bargain man - do u use it much? Im not loving the lack of pictures but there is good stuff in it. I find myself picking it up most evenings for ten mins

Still picking up parts.

New old stock headlight adjusters

Right control arm with bushes - need to pick up a left one

Again more new old stock - plan is to get all orginal stickers back in the bay

Worst nightmare is doing elec work - just dont have the head for it. Stripped out the car alarm (Clifford which is now for sale), and began seperating what I could. Every wire and connecter is getting checked and cleaned with white spirits. I need to rewrap my dizzy loom as part of it is fried.

working away on this in the background.

Cleaned up the fuel acumalator.

Gave the master a clean too. Decided to stray away from the norm and paint up the cylinder the same colour as the body. Might not be to everyones taste but I think it goes well. I will be using a Escort Xr3i res bottle as I dumping the ABS system

Time to start on the engine next week all going well.

cheers Mak

Spent a few hours at the car yesterday. Everything is stripped off the red scrap shell except for the bare engine, gear box, loom clips, fuel/brake lines and gear linkage. Every other part, nut and bolt is off at this stage.

Cleaned up the T-body this evening. Turned out well and move my rezinced bits onto it.

Only pic I have before clean up

After

At last engine finally out and into the back of the van. The second start of this build is near where I can start getting part back onto the new shell.

Did little more stripping on Saturday so just the bare block now. Took off the valve cover for a look. Not as bad as I was expecting. Does it compare good or bad to others?
