Default Can someone post a pic of a New power steering bottle please

Ive just bought a new standard ford one and not sure if it looks right.

Its no doubt new but the plastic has a green/blue tint to it, is this right?

Oh right i didnt think it looked right. I expected it to look the same plastic and colour as my standard header tank.

Also my old tank has got a cap on it saying "power steering"only but the new one has it written in english and german.lol

I thought exactly the same when I re-did my engine bay last year, I was going to take it back until I realised it was correct, weird though

Did your old bottle come off easy? Can you tell me how? Mine is totally stuck to the bracket and the wheelarch srew on the bracket won't come loose (hardy any space).

Regards,

Mark

Hi mate, just seen your post, i see you got it off then bud, bit of a pig mate isn't it, i asked the same question the other day and was told about the little lug on the bottom, are you changing the fluid mate, i was maybe thinking about changing mine as the old fluid looks black! not sure what colour its ment to be when its new anyway though. does anyone know if power steering fluid got a life span and how often it should be changed? Hi mate,

The powersteeringfluid is just normal ATF oil (should look red). My oil looked just fine but i've refilled it with new oil, doesn't cost the world and makes me feel better.
