Mine sits bang on halfway during normal driving, and will move fractionally higher when in traffic before the fans kick in!

Ok is it commen for the gauge to be out as my mates car sits on the n which is high but when you put a temp gauge in the water its at 83d which is ok

They are not the most accurate in the world, my sapph one sometimes reads just at the bottom of the red, but runs normal temp, good old ford guages.
