Default oh poo

My car just slipped off the trolley jack, now it's resting on the front splitter, and if I try to jack it up, I'll shatter the splitter!!!
Still at least I wasn't under it! Now I am stuck here bored until my missus comes home with the other jack in her car!!
Oh well, thank god for strong cossy sumps!!

It was on axel stands....I was taking it off and lowering it down to the floor. Still no harm done, couple of scratches, but nothing compared to crashing into a gravel trap!!!

DONKEY! .

Why would you be lowering it down without any wheels on?

#1 it had wheels on it. Donkey.
#2 it was your fault. You rang me, and while I was chatting, Lisa went out with the little jack, and I had to use the giant 3 ton jack, which doesn't fit under properly. Well it does, but fully lowered there is no way of getting the car off it, as car sits too low.

The way you described it, it sounded like it fell off the jack and was resting on the sump / splitter, where the wheels would have to be off for that to happen .

Perhaps you shouldn't have it set so low . How many chips did the dog nick?

Turbo ate half my chips and some of my pie too!!!
The jack was on the sump but as I had gone in from the front, the car fell on the handle end, so I couldn't move the handle up to raise it!!!

my mate jacked a car up on a scissor jack without axel stands & it fell on his head & cracked his skull from his ear to his eye but managed to get it out fast enough...funny as fuck at the time but you can emagine every ones face when he got rushed to hospital with it...

moral of the story?... even a jacked up car can kill you
