Default ANYONE KNOW ABOUT REPLACING CHASSIS NUMBERS?

I've replaced the floor pan on my rsi and kept the old numbers with photos to prove there out of the car...... Can I re-stamp the new floor or does a Garage have to validate it..........
Cheers , Rich

Ive seen a couple of mk3s where the floorpan's been replaced and there's either no number or the original numbers been welded back on as a plate Have you tried contacting a bodyshop/restorer to see what they suggest?

I wouldn't weld it on or try to graft it in personally, it would only raise suspicion when you try and sell it on.

Do as you said and ask DVLA.

I got too many projects on at the moment and the girl is getting sent off to a body shop for a full new front end. wings inners scuttle pannel and front panel. havent got time to do it myself. when that gets back ill be finding out a bit more so if you havent already found out ill post it.
