hi guys i got some bucket seats today and did not come with the runners so got some universal seat runners and then relized that it wont fit as the floor brackets are far aprat and one is at angle dose anyone no how to fit 2 front bucket seats to a mk6 or have done so coz im confussed lol

Hi guys,

having likely the same problem then bennyboy. Any thoughts how to fix Mk6 front seats in to an Mk5b? The runners are totally different not matches with the floor bracket.

the mk6 seats should fit in the mk5b no problem, i have fitted mk5b recaros in my mk6 no issues at all. you got to remember the top hats are bolted in the mk5b and i think in the mk6 they are welded in.

many thx for quick answer. The main problem is that my car production year 1992. Around 1993-1994 it was a floor bracket change so Mk5b Escorts before that year came with Mk5 floor bracket after that year with Mk6 floor bracket. So mine is an Mk5 floor bracket one and I think yours is with an Mk6 floor bracket. This why you didn't have problem to fit in.
