Default STANDARD Mk1 Focus RS 47,300 miles - FSH -TAX/MOT SEP 2011 - £8700 NEW PICS

Hi guys,

I am putting the feelers out....

I bought this Focus RS from Evans Halshaw in September 2010 for £10,300.

It has full service history and was serviced by them just before i bought it.

It has MOT & Tax until September 2011 and is in excellent condition in and out.

The car has 47,500 miles and has been serviced every 12,000 or less miles.

Located in Blackpool and the car can be viewed any evening or weekend.

A genuine reason for sale - i only use the car once a week to travel 70 miles. Other than that commute the car sits in the garage costing me money doing nothing. If i go out for the day or travel i use my girlfriends Citroen.

I have decided to put the car up for sale and see if i get any interest. I am in no rush to sell and might go down an alternative route if the car doesnt sell in a few months.

£8700 open to sensible offers!

thanks mate. It is a tidy one.

I will post the build number later.

Just to let you know if anyone is scared about buying a car which is currently financed, I can't legally sell the car to anyone without paying off the finance first. Technically i don't own the car so i would be selling something which isnt mine - so if people are scared i might run off with your cash and won't pay the finance company don't worry as you would be covered because the payments would still come out of my bank and i would be scamming myself.

You can let the interested buyer pay the finance off over the phone with there debit/credit card there and then or get a personal loan clear the finance then clear the loan with the funds once sold

Exactly, I just wanted to point it out to people that outstanding finance shouldn't be off putting if they are interested in the car.

Sorry Mate but You cannot sell that car and keep paying the payments. Its not a case of just scamming Yourself.. The finance company could and would Re posses the car off its new Keeper..
Back on topic I an interested in this car. I'm looking for an absolutely MINT and I do mean mint example. With due respect Your car is absolutely at the top of the money for an RS Mk1 so it would have to be absolutely spotless inside and out and in original paintwork or it will not be of interest to Me... No dents dings or car park marks or scrapes.
Sorry if that sounds like I'm asking a lot but I don't want to be messing You around !!

Please PM Me Your best price ? I have cash and can collect ASAP. But the finance would have to be cleared before I travel and the car would have to be as I've described above.

Will look forward to more pictures........................

For the finance to be paid off the new owner must contact the finance company and pay off the car or once I receive the money for the car in my bank then I can pay off the car asap. Thus stopping the finance and releasing the car to it's new owner.

The car is in great condition for it's age. I can't say it is in mint condition because that would be concours or showroom condition. I would expect £13,000 for that sort of vehicle.

What I will say is this car is standard and excellent condition. It has the odd stone chip and a couple minor marks on the wheels.

It has excellent bodywork with no dints or car park pings. The steering wheel is a little worn on the blue parts but for 47,000 miles this is expected.

Apart from that this car is absolutely mint! Parkers value a Focus Rs in poor condition at £7800 and £10,200 in good condition in a private Market.

I will get you some more photos tomorrow. If we could set up some legal binding agreement with the car we could work around the finance. If we drew up a legal binding contract to say I would pay off the finance as soon as the money was paid to me. That way everything would be above board and sorted.

Mate with respect Your price is right at the top of the Focus pile !!! No way will 13k be achievable unless We are talking a crate fresh car with say 15 to 20k miles.. My problem is I live in Scotland and would be arriving with cash and driving away. Now You could be and probably are an absolutely honest Fella... But it would not be on the cards for Me to buy any vehicle that would not show as totaly clear on a Gold standard HPI Check that I would carry out before leavivg the house.
Again with respect I am looking for a pristine RS anything needing paint or cosmetic repairs will not appeal to Me. For the money I would want something as faultless as posible. I fully understand stone chips are inevitable but I want one with as few as possible.....
GLWTS.

Charlie.

Hi Charlie

I understand your concern with the bodywork and finance

The car is faultless when it comes to bodywork and mechanical side of things. It is a very clean and the car requires no work especially cosmetic!

What we could arrange if viable with you is we take the cash down to my bank and pay it in (instant) and I then phone the finance company and pay off the finance straight away. We then sign the paperwork etc and you drive away with a finance clear car!

Alternatively I could ask a family member if they had £9300 and pay off the finance and give them the money back when you pay me.

The car is immaculate and in very good condition. There are a few stone chips but they are minimal.

We can speak on the phone if need be?

The weather is absolutely terrible here in Blackpool and is very dull so taking pictures after work is difficult.

What pictures would you like of the vehicle and I will take them tonight.

It's been absolutely chucking it down here all day so didn't want to get the focus out of the garage to take any pics. Ifs it's nice tomorrow I will do.

Also the finance is no longer a problem and will be paid off by me as soon as I secure a buyer.

you can come and see this anytime? You haven't got back to me so im unsure where i stand with you.

The rain in Blackpool this week has been terrible and its been forecast to be like this all weekend. Getting pictures is very difficult. I have told you i can pay the finance off due to a family member lending me the funds as long as i secure a sale. The car would be paid off before you arrived so you could drive it away finance free. I would also provide you with a HPi check to prove the car was clear.

Thanks.

I just got back to You with the post above IE Update ?? Mate with all respect I'm looking at Your car and 2 others. Thank You for the PM indicating Your lowest price, But the car I am looking at first is a 1 owner car with 31k miles. 53 plate with full history and needs absolutely nothing doing (apparently of course !) its also 700 quid cheaper than Your car So that's why I'm looking there first.. I have HPId it and its totally clear.
Your car looks very nice. No mistakes there. And I possibly will be in touch depending on the outcome of this weekend.

In the meantime GLWTS.

This really is breaking my heart seeing you having to keep drop your price. Have you tried advertising on all the other usual sites. I'm surprised it didn't sell a while ago as it looks lovely.

I know mate! Its on Pistonheads and other RS forums. I just need to get rid as its costing me far too much money and i will end up missing payments on things if i keep it!

Big mistake buying it, should have saved up cash! That way i would be able to keep it till i got a decent price for it!.

Oh and if people are wondering whats happening with the finance,... if i secure a sale with a deposit a family member will pa the finance off for me and then i will pay them back with the money i sell the car for.

Last Sunday I put in an offer for a totaly MINT car a 53 plate Exactly the same as the one in this thread but with 1 owner from brand new. Serviced every year on the dot ! 30k miles in original paint top to bottom all previous MOTs
I went into hospital for an arm operation on monday so did not chase the car up till late week. I bought the car yeaterday fot bang on 8K I also own an original RS500 3 DOOR in Black and a Jag XF 3.0 Diesel.
So Mr Ebonycossie You need to look at Your weighing up tactics ?? Sell many cars do You ??? These Focus RSs are simply not worth what they were !! Sorry its a fact. I spoke with the OP Via PM and He indicated a figure of 9K (At the time 2 weeks ago) This was not a figure I was prepared to pay so that was that ! No harm done and I wished Him well

To the OP Mate glad You got it sold Well done......

I understand But The OP bought His car from a Dealer !! And would have paid over the top for the privilege I was NOT bashing the Guy !! You say His car was average money ?? Maybe in some eyes Perhaps the eyes of owners it is !! And fair play to them as well.. But lets for just one minute be realistic here. Car prices are very low. I trade a little. Mostly believe it or not in Ex Motabilty stuff like Focus C maxes and the like...... And can now buy them for an average of 15 to 20% less for the same cars as this time last year. Selling them is more difficult as well prices going out are around 20% down so we are worse off !!

Sorry but all cars are down at the moment Focus RSs included !! Also You have to realise in just four months another owner is on the V5 and cars like Focus RSs are more desirable with low owner numbers !!

The RS I've bought is a stunning example Important to Me is that its in Original and absolutely UNMARKED paintwork with a full and comprehensive history all at the supplying Ford Main Dealer. 30K miles with one owner I paid exactly 8K.. Still enough money for an old ford .... ST Focuses are round in the trade for 7K now and still not shifting....

whats the build number on that car then as a 30k car will never go for 8k unless its on the register
