205 Mi16. Ideal track toy for next season. PROV SOLD
Ive had this since Feb last year and not really used it that much and its sat in the garage unused most of the time so its time for it to go so I can spend a few quid on my other toys.
The previous owner had owned the car from March 2003 till I bought it and he carried out the engine conversion himself from a 405 he owned.
There is service history from the 405 up to 72,455 miles which was in 1998.
From then there is a pile of invoices stapled to the inside of the service book leading to 99,441 miles in 2002.
The engine was removed from the 405 showing not many more miles and fitted into the 205 when the 205 was showing 84,400 miles.
The engine had a new timing belt when the car was reading 99,358.
At last MOT the 205 was showing 100,269 miles.
It is now showing 102,670 miles
The previous owner also stripped and rebuilt the rear axle to make sure it all works properly as these are prone to siezing up.
Since I bought the car all I have replaced is the coolant temperature sensor, a piece of fuel hose from filter to regulator and I have cleaned all earth points up and added a couple of extra's as French cars can suffer earth faults.
I had it chipped and sent it in to a local engine tuner, who used to do bits and pieces to Mi's years ago, for a check over not long after I bought it (101,330 miles) and it got a clean bill of health from them and a slight adjustment to the CO. It showed 185psi across all 4 cylinders on a compression check and they said it was a healthy engine.
I have all MOT's for the 205 dating back from 1996 to current which has now expired. It will only need minor, if any, jobs doin for MOT.
It needs a crank sensor on it as that packed up last time it was out about 3 month ago, its sat in the garage since then.
Its got tax till the end of this month.
Before you ask...... its painted not stickered! I didnt do it, it was like that when I bought it.
£1200
PM me for my number of you are genuinely interested. Cant be arsed with time wasters or people going to offer £500.
Car is in Sunderland..... SR6

The car goes as it is fella sorry. Ive got a close relative in hospital and we have just found out that there isnt a lot that can be done for him so all they are doing now is "making him comfortable", basically waiting for him to pass. So Im not really in the mood for doing owt, I just want rid of it.
Yeah they are Fondmetals and according to a few 205 friends I have they are supposedly like hens teeth. The track day 205 drivers love them apparently.

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
Nice car
Just a bit if a heads up, i did a Mi16 conversion to my 309 many many years ago. There was a little chip in the dizzy cap where it bolted on, so ordered a new one from Pug. Although it came from pug it was an “intermotor” part, fitted it with a new rotor arm aprox 1 mile down the road it cut out.
Towed it back and it started, went out again and it stopped at the same spot, put the old dizzy cap on and arm and it ran just fine!!
Why i say this is looking at the photos it looks like it has had a new dizzy cap fitted ??
Just a thought

Update for those who have PM'd me about the car since last week.
Andy came for the car and it wouldnt fire up, sorry mate, so understandably he left it. I have ordered the new sensor for it and hopefully when fitted it will run perfect again. Andy will be given first chance of refusal on it as he was first to show interest and even drove up with a trailer. If he decides not to bother with the car then it will be for sale again.
