Superb 4x4 Sappphire Cosworth *** SOLD SOLD SOLD***
1991/2 Sapphire Cosworth 4x4 finished in stunning Moonstone blue. This is one of the best examples left, with a comprehensive and extensive history.
The overall mileage on the car is 107,000 with vast amounts of MOT's and service receipts to confirm, but this is not indicative of the true condition of this car....
Having only covered 13,000 miles since being bought 7 years ago, the car has been treated to a major overhaul and modification programme. This has been carried out with great attention to detail, to ensure the car works extremely well as a complete package, and has the chassis modifications to make full use of its fantastic engine, unlike a lot of other poorly modified Cosworths.
The Engine was professionally rebuilt 5000 miles ago by a local specialist, to standard 4x4 Cosworth specifications, bar the use of a group A head gasket. The car was then run in, and after 2 oil changes and 1000 miles of careful running in, taken to the country's premier Cosworth specialists, MSD (Motorsport Developments) in Blackpool for a full week-long live map. For anyone who has experienced the quality of MSD's work, they will be able to tell you first hand what a HUGE difference a full live map makes to a Cosworth compared to a "best guess" off the shelf chip.
The car starts immediately and perfectly from stone cold, idles perfectly, and drives better than a standard car during the warm up cycle.
As soon as the car is up to temperature, the car will pull smoothly and strong in any gear at any speed. On boost, the car turns into an animal, peaking at 33Psi, and dropping off to a held 29Psi. Off boost cruising will still return 30+Mpg due to fantastic mapping and drivability.

- Standard recent rear discs with new Ferodo Ds 2500 pads
- Bilstein Magnesium coil-overs (gravel spec)
- Full pro-flex front end poly bush kit
-Front Group A strut brace
INTERIOR:
- Full Recaro raven leather
- 4 Spoke Rs steering wheel
- Ford +/- 30Psi white faced boost gauge
- Sony flip-front head unit
This car is an absolute joy to drive, the chassis is very tight and the engine perfect. The mods add up to a fantastic package that complement each other, on a car that has wanted for nothing.
The car has been rolling roaded at an RSOC meeting after the MSD Live Map, and produced a stunning 392Bhp/471NM.
The car is in overall exceptional condition, and is perfect bar two tiny details that are to be expected of a 19 year old car.
The rear arches have very small amounts of rust appearing on the lower lip, NOT on the outside of the arch, and the driver's seat outer bolster has a very small rip and some wear.
Overall this is a stunning car, with all the expensive modifications done. It simply needs a new owner to drive and enjoy, and pamper! It has just flown through its MOT with a sidelight bulb being the only problem!
It is HPI clear,and always run only on Shell V power 99Ron fuel, and the engine is run on Silkolene 15w/50 as recommended by MSD.
The car is priced at £6499 Ono for a quick sale, with 12 months MOT, and can be taxed immediately at the buyers expense.
