this was once the rs turbo of kerry from chorley street garage, but they broke the car & i baught the shell for my bird but after getting it going i think its a bit violent for a young girl

anyways once i got it home i fitted a series 1 turbo engine, 90 spec interior, then sent it to sitech racing as i had no time to finish it & after spending nearly £3k on it in parts & labour its finished after getting it mot'd the other day i decided to sell it to fund another project,

this was also featured in performance ford magazine 06/09

I know you shouldnt ruin for sale threads but my mates just wasted 4.5 hours of traveling to go n buy this car i think the ppl of passionford should know that the car isnt as described & worth steering clear of i hope i dont get infracted for this. The car isnt exactly local & of you were to come from down south you would be really dissapointed so im doing you a favour beleive me.

its just MOT'd there is a 4 finger hole in the n/s inner sill .
its got 2 88 spec passenger recaro's.
Its de locked but no alarm fitted (its in the boot)
Its got a stereo (in the glove box) not fitted
Its pissing water above the alternator been bodged with a bit of metal pipe.
Front brakes are shagged vibrating all over the place
Also they said it felt like 100 bhp if that not 180
The bottom of the rear quarters are rotten under the bumpers.
There is no poly bushes on the car.
Temp was just off the red as well he could go on all day he is fuming & said he wouldnt have gave £500 for it.
I await a infraction for this im not a unreasonable guy on here i think this is well deserved.

in my defence,

its mot'd for one year & the welding that needed done was done, unknown to me about the finger hole??

they ar definatley 90 spec seats 100%, i think its the drivers & passenger seats are the wrong way round, still work fine, no rips,

the alarm & stereo was supposed to be fitted before i got a call to go offshore but i left it, that is my fault & should have been done

the burst water pipe was told to your mate & he said he would have braught one up as i couldnt find one at short notice?

front brakes are just about new??

unknown to me about the rot under the bumpers???

there are polly bushes on the car...ask geoff of chorley street,

temp would be off if the water pipe is burst???

bushes are black & have ford stamped on them all round
Interior is black & red not grey with squares so its 88 spec.
Rear lower quarters under the bumper are gone & its a 4 finger hole in the n/s sill.
Brakes are warped new or not.
Car didnt feel as if it was anywhere near standard power never mind the claimed power.

could be theres no spiget rings for the wheels or colume bushs are fubar thats making the steering shake if brakes are new

far be it from me to defend the seller if hes lied about a few bits n bobs, but...

this post just screams of bandwagon jumping! the guy openly posted its a 1.4 shell, its literally before he wrote any of the spec list! but its more than just a rs turbo lump lobbed in a 1.4 shell

it may not be genuine, but its worth more than 1500quid ffs. if using a non genuine rs shell makes every car worth 1500quid regardless of its spec, then i guess i must be fucked too, as mine is built from a 1.3 pop.

id happily put money on the fact that if it was stil a chorley street motor and not this dudes, there wud be much fewer people rushing to slag it off and throwing wild valuations around

I was looking to buy this car for my bird. I know u just sold the shell. I just wanted to know if you flushed off the locks? If you did did you fit central locking to the doors and boot or not? Right now the car doesn't lock and boot doesn't open lol. Would be alot easier to fix with central locking already in.

There's a resto thread on here of all the work I did. Still wish I never sold it but had nowhere to put it when I moved house. Should have just stuck it in the garden as I'm In a position to finish it now. Time for another project soon I think.

I actually saw this car in cruden bay back in march and it looked very tidy.pretty blonde driving it from memory?
It can't be that bad to have passed the Mot again,certainly looked rust free and freshly washed and polished.

It might be. My gf only wanted the car because it was like a cheap alternative 2 proper rs turbo but the guy want 2G for it and it needs alot of work. It needs a lot of welding as u can see if u look back over the thread. The car is pretty much as described by Carlo or the guy that went to see it. The water pipe has been replaced but the temp still shoots up. The doors don't lock, the boot doesn't open, there's no documents, it's really slow for an RST, the steering has massive play in it, it only starts if it wants to. I think it will hav problems passing emissions. I could go on all day. If I thought the guy would sell it for cheap I'd buy it and get the work done but he wants 2G.

My mate told me he saw it on a site a while back and that it was called pinky before it got stripped and sold. So I just put pinky rs turbo into google.

Yeah that's why I had a closer look at it. I think it was put through an "mot" if you know what I mean. The shell looks good just hasn't been looked after like most old fords it needs a bit of welding each year but it was just left to get worse if the holes r still there from last year that's a bit strange. I'm not a mechanic but even I know it wouldn't pass without alot of work.

To be clear I know the shell was sold by chorley street garage and I'm pretty sure it was in decent nick then. Who ever built it after that just didn't know what they were doing. If u had a proper look at it I think you would agree.

Fair play,it certainly does go on.
The rest sound like typical rst problems and £2k is heavy for all it's faults.maybe easier to buy a clean one and paint it pink?would guess about £1200 for a job including doorshuts in straight 2k pink,say £1300 basecoat/laquer.

She's not bothered about it being pink she'd rather have a black 1. The only reason she wanted it was because we thought it would be cheap 2 buy and cheap to insure. Were still looking for 1 like this doesn't hav 2 be pink tho
