    no dude just take rocker cover off to check valves on pot one is on comp stroke and yes take the plugs out when you check cam set it helps with moving crank.

    set crank at tdc on comp stroke no1 remember no valves will be moving on this pot then set cam and diz check diz rotor arm is on or near to ht leed no 1 on diz cap position this is your basic set-up
