Default abs removal

i have read a couple of posts about removing abs but keeping the pump as a servo.
has anyone done this, any wiring diagrams and which pipes are to be removed?

i was going to fit the full Cossie ABS system to my saph but have decided against it as i already have the standard big servo for non ABS models and you supposedly get a better pedal feel with no ABS.

I just hope i dont lock up and crash

if you've got it, leave it alone

if you haven't, then do as ran says and fit the larger all disc servo

if you find a 90-91 spec dohc car they all came with discs all round and the larger (almost double the size) servo and appropriate master cylinder

when i enquired as to how much they were many moons ago new form ford they were around Ł46 so it might be worth asking

Just don't use ALS or left foot brake much of you have a servo rather than the power brakes cos you'll run out of vacuum lol

the cylinder has a larger internal bore so it moves more fluid for the same pedal pressure
the larger servo then assists it to a much higher ratio again

imagine 2 syringes, a small one of say 5cc and a larger one of say 10cc, if they are the same length then pushing one in half way will move half/double the volume so you will have not only more fluid acting upon the brake pads, you can use larger pads/more pistons to give you better clamping

it all gets very complicated if you go into pressures and surface areas and all sorts but suffice to say that it is all you will need realisticlly to power the vast majority of calipers out there, regardless of the number of pistons they can go up to

but james does highlight another potential problem, not only will you need to create a vacuum, you will also need to create a vacuum take off from the manifold that's sole job is to provide the assistance for the servo

i dont think i can use a servo due to having a turbo fitted to my 2.8. my abs is playing up, sensors etc and being a turbo technics the abs valve block is moved and the loom extended. i think this is where my problems lie so i want to remove it all but keep the pump and master cylinder.
