Default Help finding Toyo Proxes

I am having a right nightmare finding a set of 245/35/r16s for my mk2 escort.

Its running 9inch wide split rims from image and a 45 profile is just too high.

I have literally rang 10 companies and started now looking in Germany.

Only thing I can think is someone may know someone with some on a shelf or who can get hold of some!

Any wise ideas!?

Tyre traders are pretty good.

Had a look around the tyre places I have used in the past.

Only tyre that comes up in that size is the TOYO T1R, which IIRC has been discontinued.

thetyreshop.com is the only place I could find online that still shows them. Might be worth giving them a call.

I have just put a set of 245/45/ R16 T1rs on so not sure they are discontinued?

I have spoken directly to Toyo who said they still do these but they are not sure when the next 'run' will be.

Have tried my tyres and no joy..

Thanks for comments so far, i think im going to have to look abroad hoping someone has got some on the shelf hidden! I dont really want to change the wheels as they were £2200

There has been a few threads on pistonheads recently about people in the same situation as you. T1R's being the only size available and toyo no longer doing them.
My local toyo dealer no longer stocks t1r's.

Unless judging form your phone call Toyo just slowdown production over the winter months.

35 profile is a bloody weird size for a 16", not surprising you're struggling. I've never even heard of them that size ?
