Default ECU question - Fiesta RST engine with wrong ECU!

I'm after some info on the following problem.

My brother has a Escort Cab fitted with a Fiesta RS Turbo engine etc. Long story short the conversion (previous owner) was a bit of a bodge and my brother is trying to make it how it should be. He's found out that the ECU is from the original Escort 1600 EFI (IIRC)

The ECU he has is 91ab-12a650-fa.
The one he's after is w90fb-12a650ab (we believe)

Basically he's after a Fiesta RST ECU or chinese wispers have it that you can 'mod' the existing ECU to cope with the boost issue?

Anyone able to gen me up on this.

Cheers,
OP

Forget about modifying the standard ecu, it can be done but will cost a lot of money. You need the FRST OFAB or OFAC ecu depending on which MAP sensor you have and you may have a bit of wiring alteration to do. If you do a Google search for FRST conversions you should find all you need to know.
