cossie keeps dying on me

Default cossie keeps dying on me

driving along the engine cuts out, holding the accelerator pedal down nothin then sometimes it comes straight back on.if i try jump it when it cuts out nothin but turn the ignition off then back on starts straight away drives then cuts out again. it cuts out on tickover or when driving,hot or cold.

took me ages to get home

its had a new chip, plugs,grp a coil,dizzy setup 2 weeks ago been running great

I really wish i could give you s straight answer...but..........

I had the exact same problem as you........

And spent ages trying to diagnose the problem, one bit at a time.
Was getting nowhere in the end, and was getting fed up so ended up changing loads of bits at once...........and cured it. So i'll never know what fixed it.

But here's what i changed.
New CAS,
New Ign Amp (i thought this was the suspect)
New Phase Sensor

Probably of little use but hope it helps in some way.......

a known prob is the wiring on the crank sensor it gets brittle after time, when mine was a prob I had the same symptoms cost about £25 I think
