Ford Focus RS Fuel Consumption
Hi All
Apologies in advance if this is really dumb of me but its a matter of concern and interest
Each and every time I fill my car up for example I am quoted 300 miles worth of fuel. Now obviously if I give my car some stick I can appreciate that the fuel left/mileage ratio will rapidly decrease. However I have purposely driven the car very Sunday morning like yet when a 300 mile tank is quoted I am actually getting around 220 miles. Also I can appreciate short journeys etc will amend the true figure. I am just after some thoughts and perhaps advice regarding should there be anything for me to worry about? Is this the norm? Again apologies in advance for the dumb thread
Regards

.The engine is basically the 2.5-litre five-cylinder unit found in the Focus ST and various Volvos. But this is far from a chip upgrade. There are new cams, conrods, intake and exhaust manifolds and a bigger turbo. Exactly what eager RS buyers have been waiting for - Brits mop up half the production for the whole of Europe.
