Default So, about these 6 wires.....

Afternoon folks, I know this info is in here somewhere but u can't find it.
Can anyone tell me how to wire up a coil pack into my cvh carb'd mk4 escort please? I have a mk3 fiesta with the pushrod engine with the coil pack and amp sensor with the vacum. I want to remove it fit it to my escort. I keep seeing posts about it being just 6 wires but that's not enough info for me.

I have the parts (I think). Coil, crank sensor(my scrote has efi block), map sensor. Anything else?

This is a basic mid I should have done by now I know so I'm sorry for asking.

Terry

To run the coil pack setup you,ll need the ecu to make it work. i found my mk4 orion cvh so realiable the need for WS was non existent.Lot of messing around but it can be done of course.

Personally I cant see the point tbh in changing the dizzy setup on a carb'd cvh unless turboing the engine maybe?? If all is looked after there shouldnt be a problem .

One could argue its going to be more realiable and have less moving parts and gaps in the ignition system . Only going by experience with carbd cvh,s and they all were perfectly fine running engines, no missfires etc cold starts brilliant imo.

You'd probably get more response quicker in GD room.
