Battery light flashing when wipers are on, low voltage?

Noticed this last night when I was driving home in the dark, it was pissing rain, heaters on, stereo on, lights on, wipers on.
I saw the battery light flash every time the wipers moved, but also the rev counter kicks at the same time also?
Firstly i put it down to low voltage then I thought it must be a bad earth somewhere, thoughts???

i'd say a bad earth, possibly an internal motor fault.

Try turning stuff off, then try the wipers again and see if you get the same problem?

It may just be the voltage was a bit low due to the load you had applied, that or most likely an earth connection as said.

Try using a jump lead from the alternator + to the battery and turn everything on with the engine running and see if it helps, if it does then it is time for a battery to alternator re-wire.
