What does ETIS mean? and more?????
I have recently bought a transit sport, the colour on the log book says Grey
it is in fact metalic Ink Blue. So I did an ETIS which does show it as Ink Blue.
What does ETIS mean?
I have been to the DVLA to try and change the colour but if I do it through them it will have a current date stamped with the change of colour which I obviously dont want. So they said to obtain a AFRL what does this mean? failing that to get a certificate of conformity, where do I get that from?
Hope someone can help me.

Did you not think to ask the DVLA at the time?
AFRL is if I remember rightly something to do with the dealer who first registers the vehicle. Perhaps they can offer more.
What's the issue with having a dated colour change? Surely you have the sales sheet which shows the correct colour?

The issue of having a dated colour change is when you come to sell it, buyers may well assume it had a colour change after an accident and walk away from it.
And yes its easy to ask them at the time but I was in a mad rush and clean forgot.
