Mondeo passenger door won't open

I have 1988 Ghia x Mondeo and the passenger door wont open from the inside or outside.

Central locking, key or inside handle don't work. I have manged to partially remove the door card and see the lock. None of the handle linkages are detached or broken. How can I open the door?

on the back of the lock there is a small leaver try moving that
if that dont work it will be the latch downthe side of the door near middle again try moving bar or mechanism

It is covered with a white plastic cover that I can't remove. Should I smash it? Is the lever visible or is it behind the lock?

Down the side of the door? I can't open the door.

Passenger Door Won't Open

My problem was that the passenger door on my Mondeo would not open from the outside --- only from inside the car . After reading some tips here I found that if you place your right hand on the door above the handle , push the door and at the same time pull on the handle it releases the catch and the door will open ! Ta Darr !!!

Get someone to hold the handle up and kick it from the inside i did this in my escort then fixed it when the door was open

I also bought a mondeo with a stuck door and I shoved my shoulder against it and hey presto it worked
