Default building a door lock

Can anyone help me with building a door lock for a fiesta SI 1.6 on a N plate?

An exploded diagram would help!

I have the key number and I can work how to put the numbers in, but theres a lot of washers i'm unsure on!

hope someone can help!

Cheers

Hello mate

right im not 100% on wich way the numbers work but that can be trial and error - i cant remember whether its 4 for the deepest cuts on the key or 1 for the deepest.

Done a few myself but the last one i did the key was soo warn i just played with the numbers till it worked.

basically you start at the end of the key, i think you stick a washer in first then a number, then you stick washers in between each number till you are at the top of the key followed by another washer.

i know its not great help but its all trial and error like that and you will get it.

Biggest number is the deeper cut

I can do Chubbs with my eyes shut .. Open end towards you, (build with tumbler first, numbers facing you, slots in washers facing same way so key shaft will pass through) then washer, alternating until last tumbler. Then spring plate, legs to tumbler, then plastic washer/clip. Only snap the star lock washer into the barrel when you know its built up correctly! You can buy the star lock ring separately, but you usually get two in a rebuild kit

Tibbe, like this one .. If you aint sussed it by then, I will remind myself tomorrow and post back!
