Engine coolant temp sensor
 
I'm battling a missfire on my 4x4 saff cos and have been told several times that it may be the coolant temp sensor.

Problem is, I'm f***ed if I can find it :wall:


I've been told that it's blue in colour and is located at the back of the rocker cover but still no joy.

Am I being a complete knob or is it a pain in the arse to find?

look around the bottom of the dipstick handle,bit of a pain to get at :DD:

immediately below the coolant hose that goes into the side of the head next to the dipstick :)

you don't actually need to access the sensor to test it, you can test it's resistance at the ecu end (with the ecu unplugged)
