idle valve mk6 escort
im going to be changing the idle valve on a mk6 escort 1.6 tomorow i believe if you look at the car its to the right inbetween the manifold and head, is this true?? also is it easiet to change from underneath or do it above?? ive never done one of these before and understand its a tricky job thats why im asking lol thanks for anyhelp
does it have efi inlet or mfi? If efi can be done from top I done mine in around 10 mins I got lucky haha imo hardest bit is getting screws back in without dropping as it is awkward. Mfi I think is easier to do from underneath, never done one but from where it situated I think will be easier
being a mk6 i'm asuming its the 1.6 zetec e silver top engine with the sefi fuel injection system. i had one and its a right fidly job!!
its in between the manifold and the head. i found the only way i could do it was losen off the top bolt from on top (after shifting the injector wiring out the way) and then go underneith to remove bottom bolt.
i hope you dont have big hands!
