Default Misfiring cossie 4x4.

Hello. I am new to this site. Looks really good. Daz C recomended this site to me.Thanks.I have a really annoying misfire sometimes @ about 5500. I have fitted new plugs, leads, coil, amp and new phase sensor. I have also cleaned and checked gap of tdc sensor. Is there anyway of checking tdc sensor? or is it a case or replace and see? What i also forgot to mention is that i also have light misfire @ 1-2000rpm. This is purely gently holding the throttle open from under the bonnet. You can hear popping in the exhaust system. Does anyone elses cossie do this or do i have a little problem? The car is running a stg 1 tune @ 15psi. Plugs are NGK 9 and are gapped at 0.6ish. I know there are a lot of questions etc here but i am trying to give as much info as i can. Thankyou in advance. The car also seems to feel very jerky on light throttle, especially when cold but is still noticeable when warm. Thanks for taking the time to read this and i hope someone is able to shed a bit more light on my annoying symptoms. Ps Car is a late 'K' plate.
Graham.

HI,

do u have a boost gauge in the car if so make sure car is not over boosting,
u say u changed phase sensor,do a wiggle test (make sure all connectors) are
well on and clean at all sensors map etc, maybe map sensor or throttle switch if
u get it at the same revs under load, TDC sensor if u have a multimeter at pin 4+3-
u should have between 600/1000, ohms.

Dave,

Thanks Dave for replying to my post. I do have a boost gauge in the car and it peaks @ a fraction over 15psi but does hold a steady 15. I will check other connections as said. Once again thanks.

Graham.

As above mate, would think it may be an electrical connection, injector or earth as you have already checked the most obvious. Good luck, let us know how you get on

Injectors have recently been checked/serviced on an 'asnu' . It had this problem before they were done. So i'm still checking MrC. I have added another post on the latest though. It's a game frustration innit'

Cheers

Graham.

Has the crank/phase sync been checked? Or just the gap?

Hi Stu.
Great site. I have only checked gaps. Phase sensor is new. How do you check the sync? Also can you still become a gold member? Keep up the good work and thanks for replying to my post.

Regards

Graham.
