Default ford escort help

right another problem with the olde escort.. the revs are rising and holding at 4k and when i dip the accelerator pedel it just rises and holds .. have checked the manifold for air leaks and changed ISCV .. no joy.. i no the maf is on its way but havnt got round to replacing it as is the throttle position sensor witch was unplugged(when plugged in the revs just fluctuated between 2-3k)... it was workin near enuff ok bar the slight loss of pour from the maf. i checked the fuses and number 15 was blown its a 10amp for the left hand dipped beam ..whenever i replace this and start the car up the revs start to go down but then the fuse blows and it goes bck up and holds?? any ideas folks??

I would clean the earth points up, for the lights, and check for any iscv cable that may have bared through and is touching earth on the engine, is the fuse the correct rating ?

what earth points would i be needing to check tabetha and ill check the loom end of the ISCV and yes the fuse is the correct rating it was a 10 so i tryed a 15 then a 20 and it kept blwoing them after a few seconds.. thanks for your help again m8 could it be a combination of the maf and the throttle pos sensor not working??? and also should the car stall if i unplug my maff becuae when i unplug it it runs realy sloppy and the revs fluctuate soon as u pull of ina gear and dip the clutch for either a junction or change gear it stalls..

Pulling the connection for the maf whilst running tells you nothing, some will run some won't, does not point to a fault.
I would be looking at cleaning up the earths for the lights at the rear of the headlight surrounds normally, bolted down to the body with a few other brown earth wires.
