how the hells this come off
how the hell do i getthe plastic fuel line from the metal fuel line to the injector rail off?????
do i need the tool in the manual or is there an idiots guide to doing it that i can't see

Jim don't remove it there! Remove the whole fuel rail, unless that is the pipe you are changing?
The fuel rail is secured by x2 10mm head bolts, remove x4 clips at the top of each injector then the rail lifts off.Beware of pressurised fuel spraying out though.Al.

Jim, I used a bit of stout wire (fencing wire IIRC) which I bent into a U and L shape if you see what I mean, L shape viewed from the side, U from above
There are two little holes on the side of the plastic connector, push the UL thingy in those holes while you pull gently on the plastic pipe - I should all come off.
Good luck and be gentle but firm.

relieve the fuel pressure by taking the fuse out to the fuel pump and turn it over, also take the filler cap off to take pressure out of the tank.
dunno if you need to do both but that what it says in the book
