For all those running dizzyless cossie's where do you mount your phase sensor ?

I think he means when the dizzy assembly is removed...you can cap it off and have the sensor somewhere else IIRC some people have done it this way. They must have as I've seen the blanking things for sale before to remove the dizzy assembly.

I was just after IDEA's really, I favour on the cam cover myself, but so long as it's out of the way, obviously anywhere that rotates at 1/2 crank speed, so that just leaves cam/pulleys, and jackshaft pulley.
Got to get organised as so many new bits on the new ecu, even got a friendly form of AL, plus TC, LC etc etc and CL with EGT, direct coilpack, so no amps to go wrong either, going to also take off the troublesome ISCV and use a different one mounted elsewhere.

Thanks B9KOS, that is exactly what I needed, as have seen others here, the sensor looks like a ZETEC one.
I would do it myself if I trusted myself machining, but a bit like watching a horror film with me on a lathe, still thinking of getting one though!!

It is a Zetec sensor. :)

I thought I recognised it from my mondy auto that I rebuilt.

If you are wanting to run a phase sensor why not just leave the distributor in place but place a blank cap on it? However, if you are changing the phase sensor to a CID sensor then you could use the small turbo sensor.

I am going to run mine off the aux shaft pulley wheel, as it's easier, but thanks all for replies.
