VALVE GUIDES?????????????????

Am rebuilding my engine and am cosidering doing the valve guides as well.
how much play should they have? :(
if i pull the valve out a little and woble it side to side there is a little play but not a massive amount, is this normal or are they worn?

also do new valve guides come ready to fit or do they need to be reemed out first? :(

cheers in advance :top:

just had mine done and if you have any play then its worth doing........dont bother doing it trying it yourself and give the head and guides to a head specialist...the place i took mine to charged me £200 to chemical clean head, fit guides, and recut the valve seats and reassemble, with me supplying the new guides and new oil seals

ok cheers mark, will do it myself though as there are very few pro's that i trust anymore. besides have done the rest of the engine myself including all the head work and dont really see the point in paying someone £200 for somthing that i can easily do myself ;)
thanks for the info though mate :top:
