Hi i have an escort 1.816v gti Rreg it has just started stalling and cutting out at low revs it also hunts a lil bit befor cutting out im thinking its a sensor has anyone got any ideas? Ow it also has had a lack of power every now and then

 

Check icv valve mate, Sometimes they tend to stick a bit and cause an irratic idle, whip it off and clean it with a bit of carb cleaner

 

when was the fuel fillter changed last ?

 

I sorted one with this problem, Chaged the MAF and Lambda sensor, Dont know which was faulty cos I changed them both at the same time

ICV is ya idle control valve and MAF is ya mass air flow sensor


Theres ya MAF


when the cars running unplug it and see what happens to the revs, the ICV is a right twat to get to on the mk6/7
