back end goes light under braking

fitted 330mm disc's with ap 4 pot caliper's and the brake's are
great but the car goes very light on the rear and tries to step out
under hardish braking  any idea's how to cure this please

thanks in advance :top:

If it wasn't happening on standard brakes it's probably not really rear becoming light but incorrect brake balance. Try tweaking with different rear pads.

Dos it lock rear before the fronts?

mmanse 22-04-2006 07:48 PM

no, just goes light and try's to go sideway's so you have to steer in to it :?
can be scary

It wasnt doing it before brake upgrade? Quite impossible....

I would think about lowering back end a bit a bit then, maybe stiffer front end suspention hmmm...

mmanse 24-04-2006 05:45 PM

does sound like a plan as the the front does nose dive and feel's like the rear lift's :mmmh: will have a play with the shock setting's and see what happen's :top:

Shocks themselves won't help I'm afraid. It's rather in spring rates.

Try re bleeding the system

in simple terms your front suspension is too soft

Vic 02-08-2008 03:29 AM

what lb springs are you running on both the front and the back?

nobbie_b 02-08-2008 07:29 AM

could

could slip a set of coil overs on there then you can adjust them to how you want. it could have been doing it before but not as much then wen you uprated the brakes they are now working a lot better so you notice it a lot more now
