Attended the really retro show today, first proper show since her resto and she did me really proud man, got botiing but fantastic comments and appreciation for her and the effort I’ve put in to her. Went wirh my wife and kids and was such a nice chilled out day, a lot bigger show than last year lots more in attendance and lots more visitors.
Also saw some bery recsgnisable Fords there heres some pics of mine and the Fords
Just chopped mate but going on air bags, picking up a kit tomorrow to start conversion as its not really enjoyable driving experiance now with the 17s and elastic bands as she so low.
Air bags are he way to go. Especially with our shite roads.
Just a shame theyre so expensive in the uk compared to the US.
Around the 4K mark the ones Ive looked at.

Defo gota do bags but cant afford to spend Ł4K am doing it on a budget but also properly.
So far Ive gotten AIRLIFT pump and bags for front but with the rears Im making use of the 2005 XJ6 rear bags! I spoken with a few Jag Techs on the Jag FB groups and all said it wont work as the bags need to be used only with the Jag system lol its just a bag, not a magical item.
So I bought 2 second hand ones as new are a lot more than I have and eVay had 2 for Ł160.
Ive recerse engineered the bags, they arrived inflated, have a one way valve on which Ive managed to easiky remove and now Im going to machine up some new fittings to accept my 1/4 lines.
Ive been measuring too, the bags only have short 3+ of travel which at first I thouhht wasnt much, but after measuring Rusty I have 3 fron eim to lip of arch, also my rear chassis is only 3+ off the ground!
So 3 of rear travel is all I need.
Fronts just need to fabricate some top mounting points and mount switches/gauges/lines/tanks/pump lol
Waiting on some items off of eBay then Ill make a start.

I’m loving the AZEV’s loads now lads, that much I knew the 18’” Vintage wouldn’t be going back on so I flogged um lol
They’re off to live on a nice Series3 Damiler though so nice they stay on a Jag.
Rear air bags arrived last week, making up some mounting posts and platforms for them atm, as I have to incorperate the standars strut with them, hopefully have the rears done in a week or so.
Had to order them from USA Texas but they arrive air flight to my door in 36hrs! Was shocked.

Haha yeah man cheers took the trip up Saturday with a mate stayed over night.
Was a good show and great cars just a shame the hanger was so dark! People struggled to take photo’s of the cars it was so dull.
Was an eventful trip home too! Fuel tank split and filled the boot full of Ł50 optimax and sripped onto floor, stipped at a fuel station which was just after we smelt the fuel, the station staff paniced and tbf I tgought I was about to lose the car to big fire!
But I managed to move car with a mate away from big puddles and over a drain for fuel to leak into.
