I was fed up of tramlining etc with bigger wheels, put a standard set on just to try and it transformed the drive of the car, this is my main reason for going back to standard wheels. Mind you I only have standard sized brakes with uprated discs and pads
I think the tramlining has a lot to do with tyres, some of the ones I have had on my 17 inch wheels over the years on my Saff did have that problem. Rear beam bushes worn can also cause it. Had no problems with my Federal 595RSR 215/40/17s.

Yeah I thought that, i polybushed the whole car and have been through all the different wheel/tyre combinations over the years albeit not the tyres u have. When I put the standard wheels back on which had budget acceleras on I could believe the difference. But saying that when I drove my mates 2wd saph that had 18" group a wheels on it that drove ok on them but another 4x4 saph I drove was the same as mine. Always preferred the drive of the 2wd
A suppose they do the job till you get yours powder coated mate lol, what colour you going? What size is your front brakes btw?
It won't get driven with them just sit in the garage. The brakes are Bmw 7 series brembo calipers with mk1 focus rs disc's, I had to put spacers on the front so the i could put the shite wheels on.!! Going gold, it's from prismatic powders and should look like this.
The gold finish from Prismatic Powder coating on the wheels and space frame looks really good. Looks like a good colour choice for your wheels and something different.
Thanks for that. They've been very seldom used in recent times as I have concentrated more on motorbikes, but intend to get some proper use out of them this year. Both have just been cambelted, fresh oil, and brakes cleaned up, so will now be MOTd for the summer ahead. Rouse goes well with it's standard 260bhp and 300 ft lbs torque, and has very little lag with it's tiny (for Cosworth) T25 turbo. Probably the best Cosworth you could have at legal speeds. Crystal Blue car looks totally stock and is very clean and original with just 60000 miles. Runs an old skool stage 3, so T34, Greens, 4x4 intercooler etc, and just digs in that little bit harder, as you'd imagine....
Still looking amazing pal, longtime no speak, hope all is good??
All good thanks Pete, how bout yourself. if I'm honest I've lost a bit of love for the car at the mo and not really used it. Gave it a clean and a had a little spin this arvo.
