Cheers, yes it is a lovely car. 58000 miles with loads of history throughout it's life and only 4 owners (actually 3 as 2 were husband and wife at same address) Sounds great with an Ashley exhaust, just that little bit fruitier than standard. Had quite a few of these (albeit not Specials) in the early 90s, but once I bought my first Cosworth, a White Sapphire 2wd for Ł4500 in 1994, I never looked back, and hadn't had anything to do with Capris until I bought this in 2014. Having had so many Cosworths, I actually get more pleasure out of this car than my Sapphires as it's just so much more 'old skool cool' Love anything Ford, old and sporty though.......

Yeah I hear you on that mate, I used to buy good condition capris in the 90s for a few hundred quid and loved them, commanding mega money now
It's not great, is it? I went to the British round at Silverstone earlier in the year and was going to skip the World round, but I ended up getting an offer to get there for free, so I decided to go at the last minute (but just on the Sunday).
I don't think the circuit is beyond rescuing, but I would like to see some changes made to the layout before next year.

That would be the ideal outcome! It is good to have another UK rallycross circuit though, so I hope they tweak it to make the most of it. I saw that Lydden had their planning permission refused again last week, so looking less likely that the World Championship will go back there.
There is talk that they may run separate European rounds next year or in 2020 (when the World Championship goes electric): I hope the European Championship returns to Lydden and the World goes to Silverstone.
Took the 3dr out for it's first proper drive this afternoon for the first time in 20 months after having it's MOT yesterday. I can't believe how many people acknowledge you.
