First off all, I have a Escort RS turbo 1987 S2, (without knock sensor)Forge actuator with yellow spring and ECU hearts - diamonds - hash tag.
The turbo runs at 0,9 bar or 13 psi max and in the second gear the turbo limit and the tour limiter are at the same time.
Only when I go the 3th,4th or 5th gear the turbo limit is earlier at the end then the tour limiter.
Is this normal? Or what do I need to do? to get the turbo limit at the same time at the end of tour limiter.
(If I play with the gas and watch out that the turbo doesn't come above the 13 psi the car runs till the end of the tour limiter.)
What a tour limiter? and be careful with gas around fuel(petrol), The car will blow up!
I don't quite understand what you're asking about I assume English isn't your first language.
if you have a -31 actuator you'd be best getting the ECU chipped to match. Keep an eye out for a white/red/blue ECU without the Knock sensor with a chip and get a tuner that knows about Bosch K/KE Jetronic to set the car up.
That's right, I'm from Holland. The problem is that my turbo is already at his maximum when the motor is at 4000 rpm at the 3th and 4th gear. The computer stops at the turbo boost limiter. (opened valve by actuator)
But your answer is already helpful. It's not normal I think.
I checked once again, why I don't have problems with my computer and I understand " Knock Sensor" looks like another word in Holland.... See picture..... with green sensor.....
Now the Hearts-diamond-hash tag ECU runs standard max for 0,9 bar. To run the turbo at less boost is it only changing the length of the rod of the actuator? Or do I need to do more.
