Mondi-DZK, Love both of those cars! When I lived in Australia a racing driver called Alan Moffat raced a quad cam Capri with a lot of success in the saloon car championship. I had a modified V6 Aussie Capri and a few of my mates had them as well but we were all in awe of his Capri!!!

Here is the ford by my house, it is quite deep at times
When we were 17 my mate had a new MG metro borrowed from his mum, he went through really fast and swamped the engine, water came in through the doors as the river was in flood.
Actually it looks like it but may be somewhere else but it is still an old ford

Flared arches, lowered suspension,uprated arb.
S/steel twin exhaust, Swaymar Engineering stage 3 heads,rocker gear, cam,Holley 4 barrel carb on special manifold. Went well and sounded like a V8!
Be worth a few quid now!

Lots of 3 series BMW's have hydrolocked their engines in there as they have low intakes.
How good does Dan's White cossie look in those pics....not normally a fan of white ones but that is screen saver stuff....I love it

That explains how come you had it parked across the road! Didnt think it was on one of our forest roads. Must have been a fun day out and a chance to drive it properly without having to worry about lots of normal traffic and unmarked Police cars! Soon be time for Simply Ford at Beaulieu.

Mondi-DZK. Those were the days!! Great cars! Little 4 cylinder Lotus Cortina out in front of the V8 Fords!!! The Galaxys had 7litre V8s in them but they were twice as heavy as every other car!! Loved the V6 Capris, Rover V8s, Triumph TR7s and Dolomite Sprints!!! The Mondeos were cool cars as well.
they know how to build cars back in the days...

I had the good fortune to take care of this Escort for Hannu Mikkola and his son Vesa at a rally in Michigan for the owner last fall. Hannu won the rally in 1987, so for the 30th anniversary the owner of this car, which is a faithfull replica of the works Ford that Hannu drove, brought Hannu and his family in, and we ran the car in a few stages.
