Quads are back in, rust is proper eating away the bonnet now so got to try and sort out getting the new one painted and on.

 

I do like it with the quads on looks nice mate. Bet you get so many looks in that car

Went to Birkenhead today to collect some parts for her

Inder glovebox trim panel
Window switch
Kick plates

And got a couple of new modification idea’s to try.

Also stripped and refurned the single lamp modules as they weren’t working correctly, I’m planning on bridging the lamp into two so as the quads then work at the same time if that makes sense?

Eye brows!

Throw back to the E30 style Inused to love... I think they look great.

 

Not keen on the eye brows myself but didn't like them in the day so that's just choice.

I think you will be on the look out for a bonnet soon lol.

Loving the car and I have not forgotten about the Lego pictures so you can chose one, just been away a lot.

THese ones are 17’s mate but still quite wide with 225’s all round. Not quite 285’s like the others but theyll do for winter

 

Saw this at Morrisons Rubery about 3 weeks ago, looks smart and was instantly recognizable, a real head turner.

She’s been sat on driveway for months due to my operations etc but back on road now, took her to a cars and coffee morning today and even on her winter wheels she gets positivs attention.

But the rust is getting to the stage now if I ignore it and let it sit through another winter it’ll be uneconomical to repair due to me having to pay someone to work on it for me now.

Soooo, she’s booked in with a local lad I’ve met for some welding and panel replacement, new bonnet and osr door and welding kn boot etc and then a full respray! All in May (next months!)

But back to today... couple pics.

Went to JDC event at Cosford as was invited to attend, also asked me to lead the convoy of Jaguars down the Motorwat to the RAF Base, which as a none JDC member was an honour tbh!

Then to top it of I was put at the front of show with my mate Stan in his XJ 40 custom and a XJ220!!! Buzzed off that!












Well that was Sunday and this is Wednesday...!






She’s in for bit of a resto, new panels some repairs and some paint.

Was my 40th yesterday and and my wife wanted to get me something for Rusty and I said wheel retrim and she had it done, but also added embroidery with a nice touch adding the XJ40th!

Love it.
