Thanks, it's built from the yellow Lego crane, another instruction you can buy off of bricklink website.
Guess what I did tonight? I've only gone and finished it!
Yup! Just beed some new batteries now as ones I boughy today were crap lol
Wifes gona get me some duracell tomorrow.
Here some pics...
First two show I remade the 5th wheel in black as the chrome paint was getting acratched when the trailer was attatched, so insted of stressing over scratches I just made a black one lol
That is some intense legoing! I am also a Radio Control car enthusiast. If you want some help in that department I can help. I saw your other picture with the American red rig. Those are fun in scale models! I like big rigs too.Out of curiosity, what Birmingham are you in? US or UK.
Lipo and Lifepo are different battery tech. Far more volaiile, explosive and energy dense. They produce much more power than AA.
This page has 3.2v and 1.2v...you would need half the amount of AA with the 3.2v to avoid over volting it (although I expect you could run a bit more than the 1.5v that the system uses a multiple of.
OR rip the guts out of the controllers and make up your own box to hold the batteries and just fit any battery you like (such as lipo or lifepo4 or Nimh stick pack) as long as the voltage ends up the same...you could even glue together the lego to make the box to hold it all in.....think of it more like modding a car where you want a 5.0 V8 in the hole where a 1.2 would have been, it is just a matter of re-fabricating what you need to get the job jobbed.

Wow that looks like some work to get that built that’s gonna be awesome mate. I get shitty at some of my daughters small sets we get out the shop lol
I noticed on aliexpress quite a few of the lepin stuff that I was watching has been removed lately, I keep looking at the millenium falcon ucs as of late and the amount of people selling it has dropped quite a bit.
I wouldn’t pay much attenntion to listings disapearing, sellers chane and remove stuff so much on there, easiest way to buy is jusy search for what you want specially and loads will pop up.
On the photo’s I’m uploading the piece between my fingers is 7 long and I had to remove it from centre of build as didn’t pay 100% and got it wrong, al tuck me a couple of hours to strip and rebuild again lol
Thanks lads, I’ve been contacted on Facebook by someone who’s doung a Lego exhibition at NEC next May and asked me if I’ll display my lorry there, quite chuffed so going to attend.
So I thought I’d cracked it, the Trucks power issues lol
I bought some bargain cheap Lego for its power functions, bargain cheap Lego doesn’t come up very often!
I added two more receivers so that I could dedicated a power supply to wach motor as the receivers only take power from one power box before going pop lol
Then I added two more battery boxes in the main cab and then tried it, drove great and lots of torque.
Then tonight tried with trailer, pulled it with ease! For 1 minute lol
Then the gearing have up, the gears just sounded crunchy and stopped moving, quick look shows all the XL motors have koved and gearing moved so it didn’t like thentorque.
I redesign the gearing to the driven wheels, see how I get on lol

Cant believe you built the 6 wheeler so quick! I cant seem to find the time to build at the moment Im sure I will get back into it soon! Need to finish my camper van...
Im currently not trying to spend any money on anything I dont 'need'...need to save those pennies!
Keep up the good work...still cant believe the sheer size of the lorry!
Thanks mate, I built it over a couple of weeks I still build as a therapy tool.
Take my time, tend to build when Im in managable pain as it helps keep my mind healthy.
I am obssessed tho atm with the lorry lol trying to make the drive train useable and reliable, tonight made more mods to the gearing issues I highlighted and again worked well untill the next weakness was found, going around in circles atm reminds me of a real life build lol
I found the gears were spinning on the aplines under load. Solved that and then tonight the weakness has gone to the pins, so after a lot of head scratching I think I mat turn to CRAGLE lol
Most rexent build I’ve done is this Hill Climbing Lorry!
In these pics I’ve modified from standard a few ways but ones you can see are the tyres, the ones it came with are same as Lego ones on my big truck, I found some off road r:c knes which fitted the lego whels which suited the look better.
Also I changed all the gearing as other people who’ve built it had issues with soeed ans power, so I changed all gear ratio’s to suit model better and have no issues.
I have done more mods since these pics and lots more to come, I’ll update again once Imm happy with it.
