I read it as brand new, as in not been run, just built up but I think I get what you mean as in he has owned it before the next buyer.

I do see some for sale threads on here and other places with, "paid £1000 want £900" and I always think..."yeah, that's £500, unfortunately"

Also, as mad as it sounds, any 2nd hand engine I think I would be mad not to get Mark Shead not to strip it, check it and rebuild to his standards as one nut or bolt could ruin it.

It does say its a brand new 200 block with standard sized new pistons. He has probably also got receipts for the parts that have been used.

 

Thats the way i saw it. Does he know different? Op whats the blocks origin brand new stored original 200 or recast?

 

not new you say? believe me it was new. also new and unused, original crank. new stud and nut kits top and bottom
new mahle standard sized pistons and rings etc etc lol

 

she sat next to me on my 3 hour return trip from where i bought it lol.

Things are looking up for me now, so im hoping to keep it and get the cossie back together!

made with a weaker metal apparantly. BUT...

they are only weak if run at crazy power. over 500 i was told, so will have no problems at the spec im going for. 400 is plenty enough for me!

Good luck to you, glad you dont have to sell it now.I bought a brand new 200 block from Ford 22 years ago, running 450bhp and never had any problems.
