Default Expansion tank.

Does anyone know if Ford still do the coolant expansion tanks for a 2WD?
Ive seen them online somewhere but £80 for a plastic bottle is a joke!

Thanks.

No it's not. 4x4 is though, you just need an adaptor hose though.

That price is cheap, they are expensive, as the concours boys want them.

There's one on eBay around £80 but it's not new, I'd have thought you'd be looking at a few hundred at least for a new one, even then it's an old plastic bottle that's been stored, personally wouldn't have one on my car as I've had one split

Have you got a standard car with standard engine bay? If you have keep looking for a plastic one and take your chance with what you can get. If not just get an alloy one which will last forever. I fitted my alloy one 21 years ago and its still as good as the day it was put in.

Ford haven't sold the original 2wd header tank since the early 90's.
The only one you can buy new is the 4x4 one which does not have the same pipe connections or the level sensor hole.
Most (if not all) 2nd hand ones will have some crazing around the level sensor hole and pipe connectors.
