That looks like a Rover K series mate

This was what the Honda engine looked like that was in them, was a great engine I thought

Rover T series so slightly more robust as doesn't share k series headgasket design, google t series for info but don't get your hopes up for a cossy killer 😂

It would be a T series, not K series if a turbo, based on the ital engine iirc. Don't know how to tell the difference on the Honda ones. They respond well to normal turbo tuning. Better exhaust, decat air filter and more boost. Weak link is normally the clutch plate breaks.

2.0 turbo is T-series as above, iirc Honda engine was only 1600 wasn't it? The k-series is a cast lump iirc heavy but fairly reliable if treated well, I've got a mate currently grafting one into a newer shape MG iirc.

Almost irrelevant but i remember my Dad's Rover 827 with the honda engine, V6, are they 24v?

Anyway, it went pretty good like.

One of my mates had one of these Rover coupes years back, seemed good at the time.

All the best with it.

Jason, dont stress too much about it. Its the bottom half of the engine which is from a Honda Legend. Its usually the crank and seals that crap out. Lick most engines, a regular oil changes keeps them going ok.

Looks like a nice car. A mates dad had one a few years ago and i was impressed with it being a rover and all.

Do I read that correctly in that youre saying the engine pictured shares its bottom end with a Honda Legend??
